Best club/lounge in new york?

i'm looking for an upscale club and/or lounge. preferably ones that play hiphop and not only house music. since people seem to have different ideas of 'upscale' i'm looking for venues similar to vegas clubs like marquee, xs, pure, etc. please help me out with some names so i can narrow down this tedious search! thanks :D
