Probably is cheating, am i right?

So me and my boyfriend used to be extremely close, used to hang out everyday all the time, and lately he's been very distant, sees me twice a week barely texts me anymore, and when i've asked him what is going on his response is "i just need some time, please respect my privacy" and says he still loves me. I'm not really sure what to do, i suspect he's probably cheating, i'm just really tired of being lied to. I really care about this guy, but i feel like such an ignorant fool for sitting around helplessly wondering what to do next.
